A specialized service offered by ArborTech is our tree and plant health care program that assesses, treats and monitors your landscape’s plants. The objective of Plant Health Care (PHC) is to maintain or improve the landscape’s appearance, vitality, and — in the case of trees — safety, using the most cost-effective and environmentally sensitive practices and treatments available. PHC involves a strong working relationship between the arborist and the property owner.
ArborTech’s program involves one or more visits by a Certified Arborist/PHC Specialist. The arborist will inspect all woody trees and shrubs on your property for insects, mites and diseases that could impact tree and plant health throughout the year. Based on the assessment, a PHC program is customized to address your concerns and the needs of your plants. The best time to schedule an assessment with an arborist is before your trees or shrubs have noticeable reactions to insects or diseases and to identify problems before they become life-threatening or hazardous.
Here are some common insects and diseases that we find in Massachusetts and Connecticut:
Following is an example of a PHC program. Our arborists can also make recommendations regarding species selection and placement, to prevent problems from occurring in the first place.
